Nestled in the heart of the “Big Bend” area, you reach Alpine via outstretched roads that disappear into the horizon. The town itself has a background of mountain peaks and hill country, making it popular amongst film directors. There’s a decent population here, but you still get that off-the-grid feeling as you pass the remnants of businesses that have moved on.
